In our Level 2 Chair class, you will have a rare opportunity to learn professional upholstery techniques, use professional tools, and create your own custom chair according to your exact specifications. Take what you learned in the L1 Ottoman class and let your imagination run wild.

You will learn:

• Project management skills needed to plan your chair project to completion.

• How to assess & repair frames, joints and suspension .

• How to manipulating foam and padding.

• How to push your fabric choices and design skills to the next level.

• Pattern making/placement & cutting around back rail and side posts.

• How inside and outside backs are professionally constructed to achieve that polished showroom finish.

• Course includes access to all studio tools and sundries.

• Students should come to class with sharp fabric scissors, paint or stain for their ottoman legs.

• Upholstery Fabric (1.5 yards, needed by second class)

 

Limit 6 students per class.
 

Successful completion of Level 1 Ottoman is a prerequisite for all Level 2/3 classes.
