IMPORTANT NOTICE re: COVID-19:

Given the current rise of COVID-19 cases, social distancing requirements and our concern for everyone's health and safety, we are have made the decision to  postpone classes for the foreseeable future. Once our public health officials have given us all the 'All Clear'  we will re-evaluate and announce class dates. Hopefully we will safely be up and running again in 2021.

About Our Classes

At Upholstery Couture, we believe the best way to learn a new skill is to be expertly taught in person by a seasoned professional passionate about their craft. Our classes are filled with students searching for memorable experiences, creative growth, fearless exploration and hours of precious 'me' time. Experience shop life first hand inside our authentic working upholstery studio, alongside other like-minded creatives, wishing to learn and share their talents and challenges.

Our dynamic, fast-moving classes include:

• access to pro air and hand tools 

• overview of  frames, suspension, padding, fabrics and finishing

• valuable design, estimate, layout and cutting skills

• introduction to specialized industrial machines in a working studio

• coveted finishing secrets used by pros to achieve a polished look

Did you know?

• We are the only professional upholstery school in Western Canada and that we have had people fly in from out of town to take our weekly classes.

• We are the only upholstery shop in the city that opens up our studio to the public and teaches many of our coveted professional techniques.

• We still have students coming back (after 4 years) for our exclusive master class drop-ins.

• Our youngest student was 20 and our oldest  was in her 70's.

• We are famous for our home baked treats and funky musical selections.

• We only teach 2 beginner classes a year and the next one will be in September on a Saturday afternoon.
